Jean received her Communications degree from Shorter College in 1977, graduated in 1999 with the first graduating class of Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. She has practiced since 2000 in private practice and in the Public Defender's office. She served as a part-time Juvenile Court Judge for Bryan and McIntosh Counties and is a trained Mediator in general and domestic cases.
